Mode of action
Abamectin is an insecticide and acaricide that acts upon the nervous system of pests, causing paralysis, cessation of feeding, and ultimately, death. This product exhibits both contact and stomach toxicity, and possesses translaminar activity; it delivers a rapid knockdown effect against mites and leaf-feeding insects, demonstrating particularly significant control efficacy during the larval and nymphal stages.
Chlorbenzuron is an insect growth regulator that disrupts the normal development of larvae by interfering with the processes of molting and cuticle formation, thereby leading to malformation or death. This agent primarily targets immature stages—such as eggs and larvae—and possesses a prolonged residual activity, enabling it to effectively suppress the proliferation and population growth of pests over time.
This product combines Abamectin with Chlorbenzuron, achieving a dual efficacy of rapid knockdown and long-lasting control by targeting multiple life stages of the pest.
Suitable crops
Abamectin 0.5% + Chlorbenzuron 24.5% SC is widely used on a variety of crops, including vegetables such as cabbage, tomato, pepper, eggplant, and cucumber, where it effectively controls leaf-feeding and sucking pests. It is also suitable for fruit trees like citrus, apple, pear, grape, and peach, providing reliable protection against caterpillars, leaf miners, and mites while ensuring good crop safety when used at recommended doses.
In addition, this formulation can be applied to field crops such as cotton, rice, and maize, as well as economic crops like tea and tobacco. It performs best when applied during the early stages of pest infestation, particularly targeting larvae and nymphs, combining rapid knockdown with long-lasting residual control to reduce pest population buildup.
Targeted Insects
Abamectin 0.5% + Chlorbenzuron 24.5% SC is highly effective against a wide range of chewing and sucking pests, especially targeting larval and immature stages.Farmers commonly use this product to control caterpillars such as Helicoverpa armigera (cotton bollworm), Plutella xylostella (diamondback moth), and Spodoptera spp. (armyworms), as well as leaf miners that damage crops by feeding inside leaf tissues.
In addition, it provides good control of sucking and mite pests, including aphids, thrips, whiteflies, and spider mites. The Abamectin component ensures rapid knockdown of active pests, while Chlorbenzuron disrupts molting and development, effectively suppressing the next generation and reducing overall pest population pressure.
